Dream Stable's Philosophy
Our mission is to deliver our clients the
best possible care and service. We know the safety and comfort for your pets is
of great importance. The safest place for your pets is in familiar
surroundings.
Dream Stables offers the best care to
your pet, and peace of mind for you and your family.
Some pets may not be affected by
altering their surroundings for a period of time, while others can have mild to
severe side effects including diarrhea , loss of appetite or depression. Dream
Stables helps to minimize any effects on your pet by keeping them on regular
schedules and receiving the same quality of care they are accustomed
to.
Whether your pet is large or small,
Dream Stables can care for your pet(s) and ensure their happiness, well being
and safety.
Meet Michael Sontarp
Michael Sontarp began Dream Stables
in January 2001, shortly after moving to Colts Neck, New Jersey. Previously,
Michael and his wife, Gina, had lived in New York City. Michael, a graduate of
SUNY Oneonta, was working in the City as a technical recruiter servicing the
financial industry. During his busy career, vacations did not occur often, and
when they did, leaving the family pets behind in a kennel was not acceptable to
the Sontarps. Leaving their Akitas in a kennel was too stressful, for their
dogs as well as for them.
In 1998 they met a NYU graduate student, Eddie, who offered to pet
sit and dog walk for them. The Sontarp's canines, Bonnie and Clyde, grew
comfortable with Eddie and going on vacation was no longer an issue. This
inspired Michael.
Michael and Gina soon realized that
moving to "the country" left them with even fewer options than they
had in the City, and this motivated Michael.
Reliable, dependable, trustworthy,
caring and compassionate are only some of the qualities you'll find and expect
from Michael Sontarp and Dream Stables.
Just a note ... Michael's clients
also include animals with health problems and medicinal maintenance
(hyperthyroid, seizures, diabetics and those on strict diets). Michael
maintains his clients strict schedules as he understands administering a shot
or pill at the appropriate time is necessary to the pet's well
being.
